At Clip ’n Climb Ilkey, we do our very best to ensure your whole experience is as smooth and fun-filled as possible. We hope you feel the care that comes with us being a family business, and if you need any help with anything, then please let us know and we will do our best.
Your time at the centre will include a harness fitting and safety briefing, which will begin 20 minutes before your booked session. You will then get 55 minutes of climbing for the Regular Climb, 25 minutes for a Tots Climb.
Book and pay for a time slot of your choice via our online system or over the phone. Please note, the time you book is the start of your climb, so you need to book a time that allows you to be in the centre 20 minutes before that time.
On the day, please arrive 20 minutes before your booked session time to check-in. This ensures you are present for the harnessing and safety briefing before your climb time, and give time to use the bathroom and store your belongings in our storage boxes.
Once you arrive, please check-in at our reception desk. We will ask for the name you booked it in and give you a wristband. We may ask you for the booking reference if we cannot find the booking by name. Last chance for the bathroom before being harnessed up!
You will be harnessed up by one of our staff and then given the safety briefing as a group once everyone is harnessed. We ask that parents stay with all children during the safety briefing. Parents of children under 12 must be on site during the climb, but are encouraged to watch from our cafe upstairs.
Time to Clip ’n Climb! Enjoy 55 minutes climbing our different challenges. Please note there is a 120cm height restriction on Stairway to Heaven. See our Challenges page for details of each wall. Our staff are here to clip you in, but one parent may help their younger child in the arena, if needed. Alternatively, watch them climb from our cafe upstairs.
Stay and relax and refuel with tasty flapjack, cookie, toasted tea-cake or toastie and a freshly ground coffee or variety of teas in our cafe. Or why not buy a take-out hot drink, slush or cold drink to enjoy on the way home.
